I live and work in Vienna, Austria, and grew up in Jagerberg (a village in the south-east of Styria with 1800 inhabitants).

From January 2008 to January 2011 I worked as product manager at Lixto Software, a privately owned company delivering solutions in the areas of metasearch, price intelligence and web process integration.
Before that I worked as communication assistant, software tester and project manager at Fluidtime and as technical writer at Verisign Vienna (formerly 3united).
education
I have studied communication science, political science and german literature at the universities of Vienna, Austria, and Liège
, Belgium. In 2005 I received a master's degree in communication science from the University of Vienna.
In order to further strengthen my IT skills I have followed the part-time study program information technology and telecommunications at the University of Applied Sciences FH Campus Wien. In 2010 I completed the studies and received a bachelor's degree in science of engineering.

Being highly interested in IT technologies and methodologies I have acquired skills in project management, technical analysis and documentation, as well as software testing. I have further expanded my knowledge of MySQL, PL/SQL, PHP, XHTML and CSS being in charge of web development and maintenance.
passion
I like to read and when I have a really good book in my hands I won't put it away before finishing it. I also like doing sports - biking, hiking, squash and volleyball are my favorites and, if both weather and mood allow it, I go running. However, in winter I prefer snowboarding and cross-country skiing.

Together with friends and with the support of Lixto, I realised and operate the web portal www.schnaeppchenjaegerin.com which allows to look at thousands of fashion articles that are for sale on different web shops in Austria and Germany. Because online, there is always sale season and Schnäppchenjägerin allows everyone to find fashionable shirts, jeans, shoes, accessoires and much more to outlet prices and even cheaper. Users don't have to look at all the different online shops out there to find the best offers but can look for products on one portal only.
personal
I myself feel that I'm sociable, eager to learn, and direct. Others say that I have decent humor and that I would have a talent as a writer (which is to be proven, still). They also say that I can be too committed sometimes.
Though, working on something interesting or reading a good book for me is part of intrinsic motivation, although it might last over night.
